Have your Service Tag ready. For business devices, ProSupport, or another warranty plan, identify your device on Dell’s site to get the correct support route.
For printer setup, a scanner issue, a business device, or other coverage, start at HP’s support site with your model and serial number. Available contact options depend on your product.
For QuickBooks, TurboTax, or another product, use Intuit’s official product-support links. Sign in to your product to find its contact or callback options.
Start the contact yourself. Use an official support page or the number on your bill. Don’t rely on sponsored search results or security pop-ups.
Pause before granting access. Remote-support tools can be legitimate. Only allow a session after you have independently verified who is helping you.
Protect your money and sign-in details. Don’t share passwords or send gift cards, cryptocurrency, or a money transfer to “fix” a computer.
Already let someone connect? End the session, disconnect the device from the internet, and contact your IT provider. If you paid, contact your payment provider using its official app or the number on your card.
