AI, a Little Caution, and What’s Possible

Just about every conversation I have with clients about AI comes around to fear. Fear of giving it access to files, fear of what it might do, and general concern about where it’s all going.

I’m an early, heavy adopter of AI, and I have my own concerns. But I also use it every day, and it has drastically improved my efficiency. I can’t think of a business that doesn’t have something AI could help with.

I think the important part is having guardrails. That might mean read-only access to certain information or no direct access to your business data at all. Using AI to build an application doesn’t necessarily mean giving it access to the data that application will eventually use.

Start with what you’re comfortable with.

That’s where we can help. Projects we might never have considered because of the cost and time involved are now worth another look.

I recently built a custom scheduling app for my daughter’s yoga business. A year ago, that project would have taken enough time that it probably wouldn’t have been worth doing. This time, it was done in an afternoon.

AI helped build the app, but the app itself doesn’t use AI. It runs on regular code, and I’ve been impressed with what AI has helped me create.

I don’t want to bore everyone with a long list of examples. I would like to hear about the things you wish your technology could do, though. Maybe it’s a custom application, a website, or a task you’re tired of doing by hand.

If there’s something you need help with, whether it involves AI or just technology in general, let’s talk.
